Web video networks are beginning to look like cable TV did in the 1980s: Next New Networks is one of the largest among a growing number of video networks, including Revision3, Generate and Digital Entertainment Corp. of America (Deca), that have emerged over the last few years and feature a mix of user-generated and studio-produced content. They're attracting niche audiences and a swelling roster of marketers, including Unilever and Verizon, eager to win them.
